Registration for NEW Students 2014-2015
Registration for students NEW to Jarrell ISD will begin August 11th on each campus. Parents may come to the school between 9 am and 11 am on Monday-Thursday, August 11-14. and Monday-Thursday, August 18-21. If those times are a concern, you may contact the school and schedule an appointment. Please bring the following items: Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Shot Record, Driver's License of the person who is enrolling and signing the registration form, and provide Proof of Residency -*EXAMPLES: contract on house, lease agreement or utility bill with the name and address of the parent, or cable bill. The date on any of the above cannot be more than 1 month old.
Registration for RETURNING Students 2014-2015
All returning students will be required to attend one of the two registration sessions offered to fill out all documentation required by state law before the start of school.
Registration sessions will be held on August 7th and 11th from 4:30-8:30 pm at JARRELL HIGH SCHOOL for all returning students PK-12th grade.
All parents will need to bring their Driver’s license for proof of guardianship. The only other documentation that will be required for all returning students is updated proof of residency ONLY if you have had a change of address.
If a student had missing documentation in their permanent file, a letter was sent home to identify what is needed and this documentation will need to be presented at registration.
It is necessary to attend one of the registration nights in an effort to complete your student’s registration in order for them to be able to attend class when we return for the new school year.

AUSTIN – Almost 80 percent of 5th and 8th graders successfully passed the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) mathematics test on their first attempt in April, according to numbers released today by the Texas Education Agency.
The initial 2014 mathematics passing rates for more than 650,000 5th and 8th graders reflect an improvement compared to the 2012 first administration passing rates.

Principal's Message

School year 2013-2014 brings many changes at the middle school. A few of our changes that we are excited about are:

  • A new bell schedule for longer time periods of instruction.
  • Seven inclusion teachers to better assist all students with their learning; introducing Project Based Learning beginning with 7th grade.
  • A once-a-week Club Day to grow teacher/student relationships and we are actively seeking more parent involvement.
  • Our goal with these changes is to increase student learning and improve the middle school environment. We hope to see everyone on campus!
